ISLAMABAD, May 8 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 08th May, 2017 ) : Islamabad High Court (IHC) Monday reserved its judgment in a case seeking quashment of a corruption FIR against former deputy chairman NAB, Imtaiz Tajwar.

Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui of IHC heard the case filed by Tajwar against the first information report (FIR) registered by Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) against him. During the course of proceeding, Deputy Attorney General Raja Khalid argued that the accused had embezzled Rs.

6.1 million during serving in National Database Regulatory Authority (NADRA).

Tajwar had also returned Rs. one million, which proved his involvement in corruption, he added. The Petitioner prayed to the court to declare initiation of inquiry and registration of FIR as malafide and unlawful and may be quashed.

It may be mentioned here that on March 30, the same IHC bench had also suspended operation of an FIR registered against Tajwar who atpresent is serving as Deputy Chairman, National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
