Imran Khan Forms Special Cell To Monitor Election Campaign

The party workers and officials have expedited the election campaign after Imran Khan has formed this cell.

Islamabad (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 19th July, 2018) Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan has formed a special cell to monitor performance of managers of his election campaign for the general elections in Islamabad.

According to media reports, the PTI chairman has established a special survey cell to check the performance of the party's election campaign managers in Punjab, who will present a report on their performance directly to party chairman Imran Khan.

The party workers and officials have expedited the work on their election campaign after Imran Khan has formed this cell.

According to sources, the special cell comprises private sector experts, so that no election campaign manager could use them in their favour. This is why the Names of the team running this cell have not been revealed.

Party sources said that Imran Khan has been informed that some election campaign managers, including senior party leader and party office holders, have limited the election campaign to media and are not working hard on the ground.

The media report said that with five days remaining in the election, people vote in urban Constituencies on the basis of party program and ideology. In such a situation, they need to carry out a door-to-door election campaign to convince them.

Central Punjab and its most important city Lahore is the main target for election campaign but the party chairman is not satisfied with the speed of election campaign in this region. Sources said that Imran Khan thinks that Central Punjab, where their traditional rivals Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) has more influence, there is a need for a stronger election campaign there so PMLN can be completely removed from there.
