“The way Imran Khan says he will change this minister and he will change that minister, he should worry that he himself can also be changed,” he said.
Islamabad (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 20th April, 2019) Prime Minister Imran Khan has categorically said that only those ministers will stay in his team who will perform good.
Commenting on this, senior journalist and analyst Hamid Mir said that Imran Khan should worry about himself too.
“The way Imran Khan says he will change this minister and he will change that minister, he should worry that he himself can also be changed,” he said.
Hamid Mir further said that Imran Khan does not understand what he is doing.
“The path on which Imran Khan is, delivering a speech against corruption after appointing Azam Swati as a minister, this means he does not know what he is doing,” he said.
“If Imran Khan is lecturing others on corruption after appointing a person like Azam Swati then questions will soon raise upon his credibility as well,” Hamid Mir added.
Prime Minister Imran Khan while referring to Thursday's reshuffle, Friday hinted at more changes in the Federal cabinet besides directing the chief ministers of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) to put their respective teams under the scanner.
"A good captain keeps a constant eye on his team. A good captain has to win the match. Sometimes, he has to change the batting order... Sometimes, he has to replace a player with a new one. The captain has the only target of making the team win," he said addressing a public gathering here at the headquarters of the erstwhile Orakzai Agency.
He said being the prime minister he had the only objective of uplifting his nation as he was answerable to Allah.
"For this I have changed the batting order in my team and made a couple of changes too. I will do it in future as well. I want to tell all the ministers that anyone being of no use for my country would be replaced with the one who is beneficial," the prime minister warned.
