Director General Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) Syed Jamal Shah on Tuesday said the inclusive cultural narrative would help reshape our society as a peaceful place for all segments.

Speaking at the first Islamabad International Counter Terrorism Forum, 2018 organized by National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA) here he said our land is blessed with the diversity of cultural and folk heritage.
The valuable heritage of Pakistan should be our identity, adding that the cultural narrative should be based on our rich cultural heritage, he added. Shah said that the present government is working on a cultural policy which would be introduced to achieve our set goals.
He stressed for educating youth about culture and art, adding that these efforts would make our youth more productive.
He said Pakistan's culture, art and society are heavily influenced by its diverse historical background, starting from the ancient Mohenj-o-daro to the more recent Mughal era and added along with the linear cultural richness garnered over time, we have a bouquet of diverse and vibrant cultural heritage.
Aisha Hamid, education expert presented her papers on integrated education system for social harmony and peaceful coexistence. She highlighted the role of education in creating awareness among the people.
She observed that the non-objective education is leading youth to nowhere. We need to understand the curriculum and syllabus reflecting the national aspirations. Associate Professor LUMS Ali Usman Qasmi also spoke on the occasion
