Increasing corruption references: More NAB courts to be made in Islamabad

The Accountability Court of Rawalpindi will be added to the quota of Islamabad.

Islamabad (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 17th December, 2018) A third Accountability Court will be made in Islamabad in view of the large number of corruption cases in the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

According to media reports, a new Accountability Court will be made in Islamabad due to increasing number of NAB cases. After this new court is established, the number of Accountability Courts in Islamabad will increase from two to three.

The Accountability Court number 2 is vacant in Rawalpindi since the past six years while only ten cases remain left for hearing in the three Accountability Courts of Rawalpindi.

No references were filed in the Accountability Courts of Rawalpindi in the past eight years except a few. So the Accountability Court of Rawalpindi will be added to the quota of Islamabad.

This third NAB court will be shifted to Islamabad in the start of the next year.

The number of Accountability Courts in Rawalpindi will be reduced from four to two,

Over 125 cases are under proceedings in the two NAB courts of Islamabad.
