Independence Day Celebrated With Patriotic Spirit In Twin Cities

Citizens of twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad Tuesday celebrated 71st Independence Day with patriotic spirit and exhibited their solidarity and love for the country.
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Aug, 2018 ) :Citizens of twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad Tuesday celebrated 71st Independence Day with patriotic spirit and exhibited their solidarity and love for the country.
The twin cities wore a festive look all the day as the people thronged to the roads and parks, especially at noon and in the evening.
Lake View Park remained special attractions while the Islamabad Zoo and Ayub Park witnessed exceptional rush as pleasant weather added to joy of the day.
The cities also witnessed a number of functions and rallies held by the political parties to mark the day and renewed pledge to serve the motherland.
To celebrate the 71th Independence Day, the political parties held separate events in twin cities, whereas, the main roads were decorated with national flags containing patriotic slogans with addition of the pictures of national leaders.
A great number of stalls of national flags and bounties were established at different roads, highways, small streets and markets.
The people especially children and youth decorated their vehicles with national flags and stickers. The shops, buildings, government offices, and houses were decorated to celebrate the Independence Day.
A citizen of Islamabad Nazish Saeed said, "I have designed a special suit for 14th August and also bought bangles matching with the theme of flag.""We celebrate 14th August with maximum passion and maximum fun," she added.
