Independent Candidate From PP-109 Shot Dead Over Political Enmity

Unidentified persons opened fired on Aam Aadmi Party leader Waqar Ahmad in Faisalabad

Faisalabad (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 20th June, 2018) An independent candidate for general elections 2018 was shot dead in Faisalabad on Wednesday.

According to media reports, Waqar Ahmed Khan of PP-109, Faisalabad was killed in firing.

The incident took place in the jurisdiction of Nishatabad police station where unidentified miscreants opened fired on Aam Aadmi Party leader Waqar Ahmad.

Waqar Ahmad was to contest elections from PP-109 as independent candidate.

Police reached the site of the murder and took Waqar Ahmad’s body in custody. The dead body was shifted to hospital after completing legal formalities.

The police said that according to preliminary investigation, the firing was done over political enmity and Waqar Ahmad’s opponents killed him.
