India Actions Aim To Alter IIOJK's Status: Law Minister

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th Aug, 2024) Minister for Law and Justice, Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar on Sunday said that India violated UN resolutions by taking illegal and unilateral actions in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir (IIOJK).
These actions were aimed at altering the status of this disputed territory, using unbridled force with complete impunity, he stated in his message on Youm-e-Istehsal.
The minister said Pakistan has consistently raised a strong voice against these violations and has approached international forums to highlight the plight of the Kashmiri people.
We unequivocally reject India's actions and condemn the atrocities, extra-judicial killings, and suppression of basic facilities imposed on the Kashmiri people to silence their voices, he said.
Azam Nazeer said Pakistan will not rest until the freedom and justice of the Kashmiri people are achieved. We demand the restoration of Kashmir's special status as a state and the right of self-determination for its people, in accordance with international conventions.
He said that on this solemn day, we reiterate our unwavering support for the Kashmiri struggle and vow to continue advocating for their rights on all international platforms.
