India must withdraw 700,000 armymen from Held Kashmir: AJK president

President Azad Jammu & Kashmir Sardar Masood Khan said Thursday that India should take out its 700,000 army men from Held Kashmir and stop committing atrocities against Kashmirs.

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Jul, 2018 ) :President Azad Jammu & Kashmir Sardar Masood Khan said Thursday that India should take out its 700,000 army men from Held Kashmir and stop committing atrocities against Kashmirs.

He was speaking at the `Kashmir Self-Determination Conference', organised by the Nazaria-e-Pakistan Trust, in collaboration with Pakistan Movement Workers Trust, at Aiwan-e- Karkunan-e-Tehreek-e-Pakistan here.

The AJK president urged the United Nations to constitute an inquiry commission in the light of the report, submitted by the Human Rights Commission regarding violation of human rights in Held Kashmir. The enquiry commission should bring facts before the world, he added.

He also sought an end to the double standards of international community on Kashmir issue. The Kashmir youth is vying for independence and no force in the world could halt their struggle.

The right to self-determination should be given to Kashmirs in line with the UN resolutions.

Kashmir has never been an integral part of India and the valley is echoing with slogans of "Get lost Indians", he stressed.

He appreciated the Trust on behalf of Kashmirs, on both sides of the border, for remembering them amidst election activities in Pakistan. He said he was sure that Kashmirs would soon get their objective of independence from India. He said self-determination is source of all the rights and it is part of all international charters. No law in the world can deprive you of this right, he pointed out.

Renowned journalist Mujib-ur-Rehman Shami, Vice Chairman NPT, Prof Dr Rafique Ahmed, Chief Justice (retd) Khalil-ur-Rehman Khan, Iftikhar Ali Malik, Maulana Muhammad Shafi Josh and Secretary General NPT Shahid Rasheed also spoke on the occasion.
