Industries Growth, Job Creation Topmost Priorities Of Govt: PTI Leader

ISLAMABAD, May 7 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 7th May, 2021 ) :Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Humayun Akhtar Khan on Friday said that the government is working hard for the promotion of industries, growth of local manufacturing and to create job opportunities in the country.

Current government was trying its best to economically develop Pakistan and enhance its trade with outside world, he said while talking to a private news channel.

He said main objective of the government is to increase investment and generate massive job opportunities for youth, adding, strengthening the local industry is imperative to switch from import base economy to export based economy.

Humayun said despite the testing time due to Covid pandemic, economy is heading towards the right direction and GDP is increasing and weaker segments are strengthening.

Replying to a Question, he said government is focusing on higher exports through attracting trade-related investment, undertaking institutional reforms and documentation of economy and easing of business regulations.

The government is also encourage private sector in contributing towards strengthening the national economy and boosting exports, he said, adding, Pakistani manufacturers would be further strengthen which is a key in bridging the import-export gap.
