Islamabad (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 7th March, 2019) Fawad Chaudhry is likely to step down this week as federal information minister.
Renowned journalist Ghulam Hussain said that Fawad Chaudhry will soon be removed from his position and will be given a bigger ministry as he has greater support.
The journalist further said that there will be changes in other ministries as well based on performance of the ministers.
However, Fawad Chaudhry will be removed from his ministry this week, he said.
The rumour mill has been surrounding Federal Minister for Information Fawad Chaudhry over his expected resignation.
After a split between Fawad Chaudhry and Special Assistant to prime minister Naeem ul Haque came to the fore, there were reports that the federal information minister is likely to step down.
Media reports have it that Fawad Chaudhry can be removed as information minister.
Moreover, the minister himself said that he will seriously consider resigning if PTV’s MD is not removed.
Earlier, Dawn news journalist Abdul Ghaffar had hinted towards his resignation, adding that Ali Muhammad Khan is likely to get an important portfolio.
“Sources says Ali Muhammad Khan likely to get a important post and Ministry soon. We all know he speaks well :)” he wrote.
This has raised questions whether Fawad Chaudhry is actually going to resign.
The government has not yet confirmed or denied any such reports.
On Tuesday, the government removed Fayyaz ul Hassan Chohan as Punjab Information Minister over his derogatory remarks against the Hindu community.
