Inquiry Ordered Against Food Official, Others In Sargodha

Regional Director Anti Corruption Establishment (ACE) has ordered an inquiry against deputy director (DD) Food Authority over corruption charges
ACE authorities said Friday that complainant Muhammad Toufeeq said in his application to ACE that on January 1, a team of food authority headed by Deputy Director Umair Arshed raided and sealed his shop at Muhammadi Bazaar and fined him Rs.
50,000 for selling sub-standard oil.
He alleged that after some days, the Food authorities took away 126 drums of oil and sold it.
The inquiry committee headed by Assistant Director ACE Ehsan Ullah and Superintendent Nisar Ahmad Joeya has recorded statements of deputy director Umair Arshed, Food Safety Inspector Iqra, Assistant food safety inspector Zulfiqar and complainant Muhammad Toufeeq.
