Inter-district dacoit gang arrested, items recovered in Faisalabad

Sadar police have arrested four active members of an inter-district dacoit gang including ring leader and recovered car, motorbike, cash and illicit weapons from their possession

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th May, 2019 ) : Sadar police have arrested four active members of an inter-district dacoit gang including ring leader and recovered car, motorbike, cash and illicit weapons from their possession.

Police said Saturday that special police team headed by SHO Sadar Inspector Waheed Shahid conducted raids and arrested four dacoits including ring leader Ansar alias Boota son of Ashraf alias Munasib resident of Mustafa Abad Pakpatan, Amjad alias Anjo son of Haqnawaz alias Haqo resident of Sher Garh Okara, Muhammad Amin alias Sajid son of Manzoor alias Joori resident of Islampura Depal Pur and Riaz son of Pir Bukhsh resident of Okara.

Police recovered cash of Rs.3,85,000, one motorcycle, one Honda car, 2 Kalashnikovs, two pistols and mobile phones from their possession.

During preliminary interrogation, it was revealed that this gang comprised of 14 members who were involved in various cases of murder, dacoity, robbery, theft and other crimes in seven districts of the Punjab including Faisalabad, Okara, Mianwali, Khushab, Pattoki, Jhang, Qasoor, Pakpatan, Chiniot, etc.

In Faisalabad, these accused were wanted to the police of Sadar, Khurarianwala, Gulberg and other police stations. They used to commit crime in one district and escape to other district.

Special police team was constituted to arrest remaining members of this gang including Saif alias Sefo resident of Depalpur, Abid of Islampura Bhiphero, Shamshair, Anwar, Zakir and Nazim etc. of Chaman Pura.

Meanwhile, Superintendent Police (SP) Iqbal Town Dr Fahad Mukhtar also announced cash prizes and appreciation letters for the police team who busted out inter-district dacoit gang, the spokesman added.
