Internal Audit Team Formed To Ensure Transparency: Shoaib Siddiqui

Federal Secretary Communications Shoaib Ahmad Siddiqui Tuesday informed that on the directives of State Minister for Communications Murad Saeed an internal audit team has been established under chairmanship of Fakharuzzaman Ali Cheema Chief Finance and Accounts Officer Communications Division.

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Nov, 2018 ) :Federal Secretary Communications Shoaib Ahmad Siddiqui Tuesday informed that on the directives of State Minister for Communications Murad Saeed an internal audit team has been established under chairmanship of Fakharuzzaman Ali Cheema Chief Finance and Accounts Officer Communications Division.

He said the objective of this move was to scrutinize the accounts of the communications' development schemes and to ensure transparency in the execution of the projects, said a press release.

He was presiding over a high level meeting held here and said the Ministry of Communications was committed to implement the vision of the incumbent government.

He said pragmatic measures were being taken to ensure transparency and control expenditures in communications' projects throughout the country.

He further said that to this effect, establishment of Internal Audit Team is an important step.

Siddiqui said, "The ministry will extend all cooperation to promote transparency and control expenditure, so that public tax money could be could be utilized in the right way".

He said that austerity measures of the government will also pave way to reduce load on national exchequer.

He said transparency plays a vital role to overcome corruption, adding right of access to information willalso help prevail transparency and reduce expenditures to a great extent
