IRSA Releases 499,700 Cusecs Water

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 7th Aug, 2024) Indus River System Authority (IRSA) on Wednesday released 499,700 cusecs water from various rim stations with inflow of 550,500 cusecs.
According to the data released by IRSA, water level in River Indus at Tarbela Dam was 1538.00 feet and was 140.00 feet higher than its dead level of 1,398 feet. Water inflow and outflow in the dam was recorded as 330,300 cusecs and 302,600 cusecs respectively.
The water level in River Jhelum at Mangla Dam was 1206.80 feet, which was 158.80 feet higher than its dead level of 1,050 feet. The inflow and outflow of water was recorded as 33,100 cusecs and 10,000 cusecs respectively.
The release of water at Kalabagh, Taunsa , Guddu and Sukkur was recorded as 323,900, 410,100, 306,200 and 218,100 cusecs respectively. Similarly, from River Kabul, a total of 80,400 cusecs of water were released at Nowshera and 78,800 cusecs released from River Chenab at Marala.
