Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry urges new govt to promulgate new rent law for Islamabad

The Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) Tuesday reminded Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)leader Asad Umar of his assurance to resolve the longstanding issues of the business community of the federal capital after winning the election.

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 31st Jul, 2018 ) :The Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) Tuesday reminded Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)leader Asad Umar of his assurance to resolve the longstanding issues of the business community of the Federal capital after winning the election.

"Asad Umar who recently won the election from Islamabad's constituency NA-54 had assured the traders of the federal capital of the promulgation of new rent control act for Islamabad within first 100 days of the PTI government," ICCI President Sheikh Amir Waheed claimed while congratulating the newly elected office-bearers of Traders Welfare Association, Jinnah Super Market, Islamabad.

Sheikh Amir Waheed leading an ICCI delegation, comprising Senior Vice President Muhammad Naveed Malik, Vice President Nisar Mirza, Chairman Founder Group Zubair A Malik and others, visited Jinnah Super Market.

Malik Rab Nawaz of Traders Group was elected president unopposed, Abdul Rehman Siddiqui general secretary, Asad Aziz senior vice president, Chaudhry Ashraf vice president, Fasiullah Khan joint secretary, Ibrar Ahmed finance secretary and Dile Khurram press secretary of Traders Welfare Association, Jinnah Super Market, F-7 Markaz, Islamabad.

Sheikh Amir Waheed said the ICCI had made great efforts during the tenure of previous government for the new rent law and an amended bill of rent restriction act was presented in the National Assembly through its members Asad Umar and Mian Abdul Manan, but unfortunately, no progress was made on it.

He hoped that Asad Umar would play his role for the promulgation of new rent law to address the longstanding issues of local traders.

He assured TWA Jinnah Super Market of ICCI's full cooperation in resolving key issues of their market.
