Islamabad High Court Maintains Stay Against Extradition Of Citizen To US

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) Wednesday maintained its stay order against extradition of a Pakistan origin US citizen to America till February 28, in a case for allegedly planning an attack on New York
Justice Mohsin Akhter Kiyani of IHC conducted hearing on a petition filed by Haroon Rashid, father of the suspect, Talha Haroon.
During hearing, the bench directed the both sides to conclude their final arguments in this case on next date of hearing and ordered to maintain its stay order.
Justice Kiyani remarked that once the petitioner concluded its arguments, the bench would pass its order in the matter.
The court, however, adjourned the case till February 28.
According to the petition, Talha was living in Quetta along with his father Haroon Rashid,who was also a US national. The petition claimed that Talha did not commit anyoffence in United States.
