Islamabad High Court Summons Attorney General For Pakistan In CNICs Blockage Case

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) Tuesday summoned Attorney General for Pakistan (AGP) to assist in a case regarding blockage of Computerized National Identity Cards (CNICs) of several citizens by the National Database Regulatory Authority (NADRA).
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd Apr, 2018 ) :The Islamabad High Court (IHC) Tuesday summoned Attorney General for Pakistan (AGP) to assist in a case regarding blockage of Computerized National Identity Cards (CNICs) of several citizens by the National Database Regulatory Authority (NADRA).
Justice Athar Minallah of the IHC heard the case filed by the victim citizens against blockage of their CNICs by NADRA. Expressing displeasure over blockage of CNICs of several citizens. Justice Athar Minallah asked whether NADRA was legally authorized to block the CNICs.
He directed the NADRA to take urgent steps to resolve the matter as soon as possible. He summoned the AGP for assistance and adjourned the case till Friday.
