Islamabad's Nadra Chowk Turns Into Battleground As Bilawal Appears Before NAB

Islamabad (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 20th March, 2019) Islamabad’s Nadra Chowk has turned into a battlefield as Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and his father Asif Ali Zardari appeared before the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) today in the money laundering case.
A large number of PPP workers had gathered outside the NAB headquarters on the occasion. They raised slogans in favour of their party leadership.
The workers removed the blockades and tried to move towards NAB office.
The PPP workers were trying to enter the NAB office when police detained over 150 supporters.
The police then stoned the PPP workers.
One person was injured.
The supporters got agitated and the police in turned detained over 150 workers and shifted them to various police stations of capital. A woman trying to stop a police mobile was also arrested.
The police also baton charged the PPP protesters.
The NAB had sought security from Islamabad administration and had written a letter to Islamabad police.
Heavy contingents of police and rangers were deployed in the area in view of Bilawal and Zardari’s visit.
Meanwhile, the NAB will hand over a questionnaire comprising 100 questions to PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari and party chief Bilawal Bhutto Zardari in the fake bank accounts case.
