Islamia University Of Bahawalpur Establishes Plants Nursery

The Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB) has set up a nursery to grow permanent plants, seasonal flowers and indoor plants from in-house resources.
BAHAWALPUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Oct, 2018 ) :The Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB) has set up a nursery to grow permanent plants, seasonal flowers and indoor plants from in-house resources.
Prof. Dr. Qaiser Mushtaq Vice-Chancellor inaugurated the nursery at Baghdad ul Jadeed Campus.
According to the spokesman of the university Shahzad Ahmad, scattering over 4 acres of land, this nursery has 200 varieties of flowers and plants grown in twenty beds.
Previously these plants were purchased from market, now availability of these within the university will save financial resources.
This nursery will also provide experimental facility for students of University Agriculture College. It is important to mention that the Islamia University of Bahawalpur has been winning floral exhibitions of Bahawalpur City since last four years because of abundance in variety and floral decorations. In near future, this nursery will facilitate local community as well. Currently the nursery is providing 25,000 saplings for 10 billion Tree Tsunami Plantation Campaign as university is growing 50,000 plants under the campaign.
