Islooites Female Students Demand For Separate Sports Grounds

Female students of various educational institutions of federal capital Thursday demanded for separate sports grounds and clubs where they can enhance their gymnastic skills to compete at international level.
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Jul, 2018 ) :Female students of various educational institutions of Federal capital Thursday demanded for separate sports grounds and clubs where they can enhance their gymnastic skills to compete at international level.
The interest of female student in sports is increasing day by day and their active participation in sports was a challenge for stereotype and discrimination so they expressed their desire that authorities concerned should establish grounds for them where they could easily play.
Women have started to form teams to encourage other women but lack of sports facilities making their career dull and vague.
Ayesha Khan a student of class 11th said she always has keen interest in volleyball but there is no court for the volleyball in any of club and grounds.
Amna Khan a student of class 9th said she wanted to become cricketer but it is impossible without facilities like club and grounds especially for females.
She said, "I can't afford to go Lahore for cricket club so if I am provided facilities locally then I can make my career into the field.
She said inter provincial coordination ministry should provide all possible support to CDA for constructing grounds for female.
Talking to APP, former cricketer Abdul Qadir said the promotion of women sports will give our women strength to show their hidden talent internationally.
He said Pakistani women has to make a lot of efforts in order to prove their mettle in sports due to lack of facilities.
He said our women are not only participating in athletics games, but also achieving many impressive milestones.
He further said women sports and physical education should be promoted by making separate grounds to ensure more and more participation of women.
Commenting on this, CDA official of directorate of sports Muhammad Irfan said, " We have already allocated some grounds for women sports' activities and we want to go an extra mile to facilitate women in sports field as it would portray a soft image of Pakistan around the world."
