ITP Arranges Workshop On Road Safety

ISLAMABAD, Dec 1 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 01st Dec, 2016 ) : Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) arranged two-day workshop at a local trading company in sector I-9/3 to acquaint its staff about road safety tips and better awareness about traffic rules.
More than 50 staffers attended the workshop where education team of ITP spoke about community policing techniques and efforts of the force in ensuring safe road environment in the city. They were informed as how special measures are being taken to curb various traffic violations in the city and also informed about traffic rules and regulations.
Addressing the concluding ceremony, SSP (Traffic) Malik Matloob said that educational teams of ITP visit various organizations as this exercise is helpful in providing a disciplined traffic system to the masses.
Education team briefed the participants on the history of the force, targets given to ITP and its achievements, safety measures while walking along the road, road crossing code, causes of accidents and how to protect one-self, defensive driving and its requirements, practice to prevent risky situations on road, planning for a long journey, positioning vehicle or lane discipline, right of way on junctions and road markings, safe overtaking, traffic sign boards and traffic light signals and perils of using mobile phone while driving.
SSP (Traffic) Malik Matloob said that ITP will continue efforts for safe road environment in the city.
