IUB receives Rs5m research project

BAHAWALPUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Jul, 2025) Islamia University Bahawalpur (IUB) has received a research project worth Rs 5 million in the field of veterinary and animal sciences.

According to a press release, Professor Dr. Umar Farooq, Chairman, Department of Physiology, Faculty of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, and his team have received a research project worth Rs 5 million from the Pakistan Science Foundation.

Other team members include Dr. Asjad Amin, Associate Professor, Department of Information and Communication Engineering, and Dr. Musadiq Idrees, Assistant Professor, Department of Physiology.

Under the project received from the Pakistan Science Foundation, scientific research would be conducted in the pioneering cattle health through artificial intelligence and mobile technology.

Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Muhammad Kamran, Dean, Faculty of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Professor Dr. Muhammad Khalid Mansoor, Dean, Faculty of Engineering, Professor Dr. Muhammad Amjad and Director ORIC, Professor Dr. Muhammad Atif have congratulated the researchers on receiving an excellent project in the field of livestock.
