Jahangir Tareen, Aitzaz Ahsan Top Taxpayers In FBR Tax Directory Of Parliamentarians

The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has issued its tax directory of the parliamentarians for the Tax Year 2017-18
ISLAMABAD (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News / NNI - 22nd February, 2019) The Federal board of Revenue (FBR) has issued its tax directory of the parliamentarians for the Tax Year 2017-18.These parliamentarians belonged to the Upper and Lower Houses of the Parliament as well as the provincial assemblies.According to the tax details, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf's (PTI) Jahangir Tareen (Rs 9,77,17000), Peoples Party's Aitzaz Ahsan (Rs 2,58,69,738), Ishaq Dar (Rs 93,84, 606) and Farooq Naik (Rs 1,10,62,116) were the major tax payers among the parliamentarians.Prime Minister Imran Khan paid 1,03,763 rupees in tax in year 2017-18, while President Arif Alvi paid 3,77,511 rupees, the tax directory disclosed.Finance Minister Asad Umar paid 48,49,615 rupees in tax while former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi paid 30,86,961 rupees in national exchequer.Prime Minister Imran Khan paid 1,03,763 rupees in tax in year 2017-18, while President Arif Alvi paid 3,77,511 rupees, the tax directory disclosed.
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz's Hamza Shehbaz paid 82,68,298 rupees and former prime minister Nawaz Sharif paid 2,63, 173 as tax in the year.According to tax details, Chief Minister of Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah paid 9,88,864 rupees tax apart of Rs.
70,83,864 paid as businessman.Chief Minister of Balochistan Jam Kamal paid 61,45,980 rupees tax and Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mehmood Khan paid Rs 1,47,780 in the national kitty.Moreover, Chaudhry Nisar paid 17,23,38 rupees, Shaikh Rashid 7,02,698 rupees, Shah Mehmood Qureshi 6,53,943 rupees, Ayaz Sadiq 289,174 rupees and Ahsan Iqbal Rs.
3,68,598 in taxes.Former leader of opposition Syed Khursheed Shah paid Rs 2,56,121 in tax, while a member of National Assembly Basit Ahmed Sultan Bukhari paid not paid any tax. NNI
