Jamaat-e-Islami Wants Edible Prices Under Control

Former parliamentary leader of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan in the Punjab Assembly, Dr Syed Waseem Akhtar has asked the authorities concerned to take immediate measure to overcome price hike and profiteering, adding that people had been suffering from difficulties due to increase in prices of essential items.

BAHAWALPUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Oct, 2018 ) :Former parliamentary leader of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan in the Punjab Assembly, Dr Syed Waseem Akhtar has asked the authorities concerned to take immediate measure to overcome price hike and profiteering, adding that people had been suffering from difficulties due to increase in prices of essential items.

Talking to media persons here, he said that US Dollar jumped to higher value that also affected prices of essential items and commodities in the country. "Increase in rates of petrol, natural gas and LPG caused surge of prices of essential items of daily routine life," he said.

He said that poor and daily wagers had been suffering from difficulties caused by recent price hike.

He said that it was responsibility of the government to provide masses with relief.
