JI Parts Ways With MMA, Announces To Contest Elections With Own Banner, Symbol

ISLAMABAD (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News / NNI - 20th March, 2019) The Acting Ameer of the Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Liaqat Baloch, has formally informed the leadership of the MMA that the Jamaat e Islami would contest the elections in the country from its own platform and on its own banner and election symbol.The decision was communicated to the MMA leadership at a meeting of the religious alliance in Islamabad on Wednesday.
JI Acting chief and JI deputy chief Mian Muhammad Aslam, attended the meeting.While addressing the meeting, Liaqat Baloch however assured the MMA leadership that the JI would support the religious parties on all religious matters including the safeguarding the Islamic identity of the country, the Islamic laws and the abolition of interest.He said that the PTI government was a continuous failure on the economic front.
The burden of loans and interest on the country had increased and there was still no mechanism for the recovery of the billions of the plundered public money.He said that there had been no major head way in the collection of the Dam Fund within the country and abroad.
Inflation had increased while the inland revenue receipts had fallen. price hike, unemployment and lawlessness besides utilities bills had increased at an alarming rate.The JI Acting Ameer said the IMF pressure on the country was increasing while India was working hard to cause heavy losses to the country on the economic front.
The government was losing the public confidence due to its negative steps being taken under pressure and the Prime Minister was not taking the national leadership and the parliament in confidence on important issues, he added.Liaqat Baloch stressed upon the US to stop patronage of extremism and terrorism and ban the terrorist groups emerging with new Names in place of the IS, Black Water and Eric Prince.He said that the US should give up its hostility towards islam and the Muslims.
He said that the US was causing disruption and lawlessness all over the world only to achieve its political and economic agenda.He urged the parties in the MMA to raise their voice against the ban on the JI in Held Kashmir. NNI
