JUI-F Chief Fazlur Rahman To Meet Nawaz Sharif In Jail

Fazl who again started efforts for unite opposition parties will likely to visit Nawaz on Friday

LAHORE- (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News- 14^th March, 2019) JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rahman is likely to meet PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif in Lahore’s Kot Lakhpat jail on Friday.

He is visiting the former prime minister to inquire after his health and discuss the political situation.

The head of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam who has already announced a long march against the PTI will discuss political situation, opposition alliance and other matters with Sharif, said a leader of the JUI-F.

It is important to note here that PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto had also held a meeting with Sharif in the jails a few days ago.

Fazl earlier made efforts to unite the opposition parties including the PPP and PML-N against the government but failed to achieve success in his mission.

His party’s general counsel is meeting on March 19 to discuss preparation of long march against the government. JUI-F chief has so far not announced the date of the protest.

Sources say Fazl has again started efforts to bring PPP and PML-N close to each other and his meeting with Nawaz Sharif was the part of the move.
