Karachi Offers Favorable Environment To The Investors: Sindh Governor

Governor of Sindh, Imran Ismail here on Thursday said a favorable environment exists for foreign investment in Karachi.
Addressing a ceremony, organized by American Business Council, he urged the investors particularly those from U.S. to make optimum use of the opportunities that exist in the sectors of energy, infrastructure, education and health.
U.S. Consul General, JoAnne Wagner was also present on the occasion.
Sindh Governor discussing the measures being adopted to promote business activities across the province said provincial government has established Business Liaison Committees to help address problems faced by industrialists and business community on prompt basis.
He said Federal government is also fully concentrating towards promotion and development in Karachi, the commercial hub of the country.
"Extensive cooperation is being extended to the Sindh government to facilitate the citizens with major focus on infrastructure development," said the Governor.
Four different major infrastructure development projects were said to be currently underway in the metropolis, with the support of federal government.
These were said to include water desalination plant, sewerage treatment plant, expansion of northern bypass and bus rapid transit system commonly known as Green Line service.
Sindh Governor said special efforts were also being made to turn Karachi into a clean and green mega-city.
