Kashmir Situation Warrants Global Attention: Hurriyet Leaders

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Sep, 2016 ) : Hurriyet leaders have said that prevailing situation in the territory warrants attention of the international community to avert any catastrophe in the South Asian region.
Hurriyet leaders Shabbir Ahmad Dar, Muhammad Iqbal Mir, Muhammad Ahsan Untoo, Imtiyaz Ahmad Reshi and Ghulam Nabi War in their joint statement in Srinagar said, "It is the moral responsibility of United Nations to send a fact finding mission to Jammu and Kashmir to analyze the situation," KMS reported.
The statement said that Indian could not muzzle the voice of Kashmiri people by subjecting the civilians to brute force in the territory. The illegally detained Chairman of Tehreek e Mazahmat, Bilal Sidiqi in his statement expressed his deep anguish over slapping sedition charges against teachers and religious clerics in Chenab Valley.
Meanwhile, President Anjuman-e-Sharie Shian Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi Al-Safvi in a statement criticized the Indian civil society for raising hue and cry over an attack on army camp in Uri but ignoring killing and injuring of dozens of peaceful protesters on daily basis in the territory.
On the other hand, a large number of people from different shades of life including, Journalists, Lawyers, Students etc visited Javaid Mir and prayed for his early recovery. Pertinently, Javaid Ahmad Mir went though both eye surgeries at a hospital in New Delhi.
