Kashmiri People Observed The Day Of Right Ofself-determination Across AJK:

MUZAFFARABAD, Jan 5 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 05th Jan, 2017 ) :Kashmiri people living across the world and either sides of the Line of Control (LOC) observed the day to right of self-determination with renewed pledge and determination to continue their legitimate freedom struggle till the implementation of UN resolutions in accordance with the aspirations of Kashmiri people.

The protest rallies, demonstrations and seminars were held in all the ten districts of Azad Jammu and Kashmir against continued forcible Indian occupation, subjugation, torture and gross human rights violations of Indian forces perpetuating on unarmed Kashmiri people for the last seven decades.

The different social, political, religious parties and human rights organizations held protest rallies and public demonstrations in AJK capital Muzaffarabad and the largest public demonstration was organized at Shaheed Chowk under the auspicious of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Cell.

The different segments of societies including Kashmiri refugees, politicians, social workers, public and religious figures, students, workers of human rights, traders and lawyers community participated in the demonstration and the participants also staged protest against Indian rulers and UN for not implementing its resolution on Kashmir.

The speakers of the rally stressed upon the UN to stop Indian genocide in IHK and implement its resolutions in accordance the wishes of Kashmiri as envisaged in UN charter. The speakers also called upon the world community not to become silent spectators and move forward to play their role in resolving the Kashmir dispute through peaceful means and pressurize India in this regard.

The speakers paid glowing tribute to martyred youth Commander Burhan Muzaffar Wani and other Kashmiri martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the cause of freedom against illegal and illegitimate occupation of India and strongly condemned the continued tyrannical acts and gross human violations of occupied forces in IOK.

The Minister for social Welfare Madam Noreen Arif while paying tributes to martyrs of freedom struggle and Kashmiri people for their unprecedented resistance against eight hundred thousand Indian armed forces and facing crackdowns, curfews and all kinds of inhuman acts of occupied forces, she said that Indian rulers continuously failed to suppress the freedom movement despite using all kinds of tactics, she added.

She said the Kashmir issue is the unfinished agenda of the division of subcontinent and it could only be resolved through meaningful and composite dialogue process and added that use of military might is not the solution of Kashmir dispute.

Besides others, JI Naib Ameer Shaikh Aqeel u Rehman,PML-N vice President Ch. Manzoor, Secretary Muhammad Idrees Abbassi,PPP leader Shoukat Javed Mir, President Central Bar Association Raja Aftab advocate,Chairman Pasban Hurriet Uzair Ahmed Ghazali,Chairman International Forum for Justice Mushtaq ul islam,Refugee leader Ch.Mushtaq and representatives of APHC also addressed the rally.

Later the rally staged protest in front of UNMOGIP office at Domail for not playing its role in resolving the Kashmir dispute and presented memorandum to its representative in this regard.
