Kashmirs' Voice Of Freedom Won't Be Crushed: Khadim Hussain Warns

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th Aug, 2024) A prominent Kashmiri Hurriyat leader Raja Khadim Hussain Sunday has unequivocally stated that India's efforts to suppress the Kashmiri people's struggle for freedom will ultimately prove futile and asserted that the unrelenting passion for liberation burning in the hearts of Kashmiris cannot be vanquished by India's military might or political maneuvering.

In his special message for Youm-e-Istehsal on the ptv news , he said despite decades of oppression, the Kashmiri people's resolve for self-determination remains unbroken and their quest for freedom continues to inspire a new generation of leaders and activists.

Raja Khadim Hussain made a fervent appeal to the international community to intervene and pressurize India to release the incarcerated Kashmiri leaders and political activists, who have been languishing in Indian prisons for years.

Specifically, he highlighted the case of Yasin Malik, the iconic leader of the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), for whom the Indian authorities have recently sought a death penalty, he added.

Hussain emphasized that Malik' s trial is a travesty of justice, and the death penalty sought by the Indian government is a stark reminder of the brutal suppression of Kashmiri voices.

He urged the international community to recognize the legitimacy of the Kashmiri struggle for self-determination and to demand India's compliance with international human rights laws, ensuring the immediate release of Malik and all other political prisoners.

The international community's silence, Hussain warned, would only embolden India's authoritarian regime, further perpetuating the cycle of violence and oppression in Kashmir.
