Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah said he would take up three projects of Sindh in the upcoming joint committee meeting over China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project.

HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Dec, 2018 ) :Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah said he would take up three projects of Sindh in the upcoming joint committee meeting over China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project.

Talking to media at Cadet College Petaro, Jamshoro, on Saturday, the CM said the projects including Karachi Circular Railway (KCR), Dhabeji economic zone and Keti Bander port would be discussed in the meeting for the approval.

Speaking about the ongoing problem of gas supply suspension to the industries and CNG stations in Sindh, Shah said the Constitution provided for meeting requirements of a province producing the natural resources before sharing it with other provinces.

He said he raised the issue in his meeting the other day with the Federal Minister for Petroleum Ghulam Sarwar Khan who assured him that the Constitution would be implemented. He expressed the hope that the federal government would soon resolve the issue.

Earlier, while delivering his speech at the college's 57th parents' day, the CM announced of increasing the college's annual grant from existing Rs.50 million to Rs.75 million in the current fiscal and Rs.100 million in the next financial year.

The CM said the provincial government was trying to provide quality and affordable education and added that his government was spending considerable funds to address the shortcomings in the education system.

Shah acknowledged the quality of education and discipline being imparted in the college and lauded contribution of the teaching faculty.

He termed the cadets future of Pakistan and advised them to make serving Pakistan and its people their objective.

The CM said for last 60 years the college maintained a high standard of discipline and quality education.

On the occasion, he announced a cash reward of Rs.100,000 for cadet Azhar Jan who secured the top position in a global contest of computer science.

He also congratulated ex-cadets captain Izhan for winning 'the stick of honour', cadet abdul Salam for 'the best in academics award' and cadet Mehboob Imdad for 'badge of honour'.

Commodore Mehboob Ilahi, the college's principal, also addressed the event.

Rear Admiral Asif Khaliq, DIG Hyderabad Naeem Ahmed Shaikh, Divisional Commissioner Hyderabad Mohammad Abbas Baloch, SSP Jamshoro Tauqeer Naeem, Deputy Commissioner Capt (r) Fariduddin Mustafa, among other officials, attended the event.

During the event, the cadets displayed march past, gymnastic, Karate and horse riding skills while an exhibition of club activities was also organized.
