The two PML-N leaders are expected to be arrested as soon as their interim bail ends.
Lahore (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 16th October, 2018) The arrest warrants for Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders Khawaja Saad Rafique and Khawaja Salman Rafique have been issued, sources said on Tuesday.
Sources said that National Accountability Bureau (NAB) chairman Justice (r) Javed Iqbal has issued the arrest warrants for the two brothers.
The two PML-N leaders are expected to be arrested as soon as their interim bail ends.
Sources further said that the PML-N workers have planned to protest at the Accountability Court while the government, taking serious steps, has also directed the Rangers to surround the court.
A Lahore High Court (LHC) division bench on Monday granted the interim bail to PML-N leaders - Khawaja Saad Rafique and Khawaja Salman Rafique - till Oct 24 in Paragon City scam.
However, the bench directed the leaders to join the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) investigation, besides directions for submission of surety bonds worth Rs 500,000 each for availing the bail. The bench also issued notices to NAB authorities.
The Islamabad High Court had earlier on Oct 11 turned down the petitions filed by the PML-N leaders seeking protective bail and legal protection against the NAB proceedings, on technical grounds.
NAB had launched an investigation in November last year into a mega land scam involving Paragon city in Lahore.
