Spokesman Chairman PPP, Senator Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar Thursday said that the government's willingness to appoint Leader of the Opposition in National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif as Chairman Public Account Committee was a welcoming step.
In a statement issued here, he observed that government agreed to appoint Shehbaz Sharif as chairman due to principle stance of Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
"We will not work for our political gain and lost but work for democracy and strengthening of the country," he added.
He said that due to efforts of Bilawal Bhutto, the deadlock between government and opposition was ended and ultimate winner was democracy.
Mustafa Nawaz said that Chairman PPP had refused the offer of the government to become Chairman of PAC as it was clear stance of Bilawal that it was right of Leader of Opposition to become head of PAC.
"Under the leadership of Bilawal Bhutto PPP will struggle for strengthening democracy and democratic culture in the country," he added.
