Khuhro rules out negotiations with MQM-P over power sharing in Sindh

HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Nov, 2016 ) : Sindh senior minister for food, Nisar Ahmed Khuhro, has said Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai is a universal sufi poet whose message of love and peace transcends any cultural or nationalistic boundaries.

Talking to media at Bhitai's shrine in Bhit Shah, Matiari district on Thursday, Khuhro praised the sufi poet for enlightening the world with his thoughts of humanity, love, peace and harmony. He reiterated that the menaces of terrorism, extremism and many other social ills and prejudices could be defeated with the help of Bhitai's philosophy.

"We feel an immense pride that Bhitai belongs to Sindh," he exclaimed. Responding to the queries the minister said Muttahida Qaumi Movement-London's alleged attempt to prevent MQM-Pakistan's leaders from visiting the party's martyrs' graveyard in Azizabad, Karachi, was an internal matter of the two parties.

When asked about party organization in Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Khuhro said in this regard the exercise had been completed, adding the party's high command would take the decisions.

"We have announced the Names of the party leadership in Punjab.

Soon the PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari would announce the names of the other leaders," he added. Replying to a question, he ruled out any negotiations with the MQM-Pakistan over power sharing in the Sindh Government.

However, he said a good working relationship inside the Sindh Assembly with the MQM-Pakistan would continue and all the acceptable demands of the party would be considered. The minister said University of Sufism in Bhit Shah was among several universities in Sindh whose foundation was laid between the 2008 to 2013 PPP governments.

Despite limited resources, seven campuses of Sindh University in as many districts had been opened, he added. To another query the minister said stopping payment of the salaries to the government school teachers who had been illegally appointed in the department was a welcome step.

The minister said ban on the appointment on the government jobs had been lifted and thousands of people would be appointed in different government departments.
