Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Approves 4.5 Billion Funds For Mansehra Gravity Flow Scheme: Saleh Muhammad

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Mehmood Khan has approved Rs 4.5 billion funds for the construction of Manshera Gravity Flow Water Supply Scheme.

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 8th Dec, 2018 ) :Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Mehmood Khan has approved Rs 4.5 billion funds for the construction of Manshera Gravity Flow Water Supply Scheme.

This was stated by the PTI Member National Assembly Saleh Muhammad Khan while talking to APP here on Saturday. He further said that this scheme would help to resolve the issue of clean drinking water in Mansehra city for the next 50 years.

Giving the details of the gravity water flow scheme, Saleh Muhammad Khan said the estimated cost of the projects was Rs 4.5 billion where 46-kilometer long water supply pipeline would provide the facility to the five Union Councils of the city and resolves it forever and would be completed within four years.

Replying to a question about the funding of the project, he said the project would be financed by the Saudi Development Fund with the cooperation of Economic Affairs Division government of Pakistan and KPK Public Health Department.

A 24 inches diameter water supply line would be started from Domail to Manshera through which 12.6 cusec feet water would be supplied on daily basis, he added.

The MNA said that near Laghmani bridge a water reservoir and a treatment plant would be established which would also provide the water to the Manshera city.
