Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mahmood Khan Pays Surprise Visit To Chamkani Police Station, Meets With Detainees

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Mahmood Khan paid a surprise visit to Chamkani Police Station Peshawar here on Monday evening
The Chief Minister, accompanied by Provincial Minister for Information Shaukat Yousafzai, inspected different barracks, lockups, police station record and one month FIR records during his surprise visit.
The CM was briefed about different criminal cases and the method of FIR Registration on the occasion.
The CM also met different Hawalatis under judicial lockup and listened their issues and problems.
He directed that the legal issues and problems of the detainees may be resolved. The chief minister said that the police had performed in very critical situation and also offered sacrifices for national cause.
Police has now become a fighting force, he added.
The chief minister said that Police has earned name due to its outstanding performance and the provincial government has made the police independent.
He said that his government discouraged political interference in the police. The police was made independent and thus the police showed a better performance in critical situations, for which the police as well as the provincial government feel proud.
The chief minister said that police was the frontline force for the eradication of crimes and actions against criminals in the society. He directed that the police should focus on operational and investigation side to further improve their professional capacity.
He said that all possible support would be extended to police for further enhancement of public trust.
The CM said that he was expecting more from the police that it would provide all possible support for the weak and hapless section of the society. He also assured the police that problems of the police would also be resolved on priority basis.
The police officials said that such visits would give courage them and also boost their morale to deliver more.
