ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News -1st Sep,2016) : The All Parties Hurriyat Conference, the forum led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Hurriyat leaders, in occupied Kashmir, have condemned the killing of a youth, Danish Manzoor, and use of brute force on protesters by Indian forces in the territory. The APHC in a statement issued in Srinagar said that there was no justification of use of force on peaceful protesters particularly on a mass public gathering in Sogam area of Kupwara. Syed Ali Gilani addressed the rally over telephone from Srinagar. He said, "We need to rise above our personal egos and with unity and discipline, everybody has to contribute to the strength of this movement,"Kashmir Media Service reported.
The Mirwaiz-led forum in its statement said use of tear smoke shells, pepper guns and pellet guns on the people including women is highly deplorable. APHC leader Nayeem Ahmad Khan said,"Martyrdoms of youth like Danish Manzoor have made the freedom struggle so costly that there cannot be any compensation to the innocent killings except complete freedom from India." He said the men in uniform are not only killing and carrying out arrest spree but they are also damaging public properties in nook and corner of the territory only to punish people for their steadfastness on the path of freedom.
