Kinnow Exports To Improve In 2017

SARGODHA, Jan 2 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 02nd Jan, 2017 ) : Director Citrus Research Institute Sargodha Altaf-Ur-Rehman has said that kinnow exports will imnprove during the current year. Talking to APP here on Monday, he said that demand of Pakistani citrus was increasing across the globe while exports to Malaysia and Indonesia would continue from January to April.
He said that Russia was a big market of kinnow export and Iran would also start importing the fruit from Pakistan soon. The rate of 40-kg kinnow had been decided with consultation of all stake-holders and growers were also being facilitated by the research institute, he added.
The country was at 13 numbers in citrus production and only Sargodha district was producing 80 per cent of the country's total production.
