KP govt appoints first female police officer in CTD

Bano was inducted in the police service as an assistant sub-inspector in 1996. 

Lahore (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 19th January, 2018) The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has appointed the first female police officer in its Counter Terrorism Department (CTD).

In a first, the grade-17 police officer named Hamida Bano has been appointed as deputy superintendent of police (DSP) in the CTD.

Bano was inducted in the police service as an assistant sub-inspector in 1996.

In 2005, she was posted in the Central Police Officer as a DSP. She was serving as DSP Traffic since the past two years.

Bano has accepted her position as an honour.
