KP PAC For Recovery Of Rs 1.3 Mln From Science, Technology Deptt

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Public Accounts Committee (PAC) Wednesday reviewed audit report of Science and Technology department for the year 2011-12 and recommended recovery of over Rs 1.3 million from the concerned officials
The meeting chaired by Nighat Orakzai noted that the department did not give tender to lowest bidder rather to a comparatively highest bidder due to which the national kitty faced millions of rupees loss.
The committee after thorough deliberations recommend the department to recovered Rs 1323,827 from the responsible officials and present a report to the committee in this regard within a month.
The Committee chairperson on the occasion said that PAC was an important body and all the government departments should have to complete their home wok on any issue before attending the committee meeting.
