KP Police Check Record Of 7.50m People Through VRVS

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police by demonstrating smart policing has checked the record of seven and half million people through Criminal Record Verification System and nabbed 380 criminals during the current year.

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Dec, 2018 ) :The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police by demonstrating smart policing has checked the record of seven and half million people through Criminal Record Verification System and nabbed 380 criminals during the current year.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police has devised a systematic and professional approach to tighten the noose around the neck of hardcore criminals. Through these steps, police efficiency in connection with verification has been enhanced to a great extent which ultimately led to better recovery interrogation and investigation.

Under this system, computerized data about all criminals has been provided to all police stations which is available through simple Criminal Record Verification System (CRVS).

Moreover, the record of the criminals is available on phone through a SIM service to all police stations, check posts and snap checking points. The Police officials on duty, on these points, directly check the record of criminals by clicking the mobile button.

This step by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police has added to more smart and E-policing and the chances to apprehend the criminals have been increased manifold. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police along with digitization of FIRs have issued 276 special SIMs to all district police through which, so far, record of millions of criminals have been checked and in the process 380 hardcore criminals have been arrested.

District Peshawar police arrested 58 proclaimed offenders (POs) through 32 SIMs, Mardan 2 through 18 SIMs, Charsadda 9 through 14 SIMs, Nowshera 2 through 9 SIMs, Swabi 22 through 10 SIMs, Swat 29 through 18 SIMs, Buner 38 through 11 SIMs, Abbottabad 156 through 13 SIMs, Haripur 10 through 11 SIMs, Mansehra 4 through 14 SIMs, Battagram 1 through 7 SIMs, Kohat 2 through 13 SIM, Hangu 19 through 6 SIMs, Karak 22 through 10 SIMs, Laki Marwat 2 through 7 SIMs, DIKhan 1 through 15 SIMs, Tank 3 through 4 SIMs, The main feature of the system is that through it all data has been converted to electronic/digital format and all concerned officials have access to it through one click.

Similarly, this system can ensure the provision of all important information to the investigation officer about any criminal. Likewise, all district and regional police officers have been linked with each other through this system and thus ensure timely sharing of needed vital information amongst differentinvestigation teams.
