KP Police Hold 287 Khuli Katcheries During 2018

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police during the previous year 2018 held 287 "Police Khuli Katcheries" across the province.
These Police Khuli Katcheries were being held on the directives of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Salah-ud-Din Khan Mehsud.
Police took effective steps for the solution of problems of the people relating to police force. The IGP himself heard problems of the general public in a Khuli Katchery being held in district Swabi.
According to details the IGP had directed all District Police Officers of the province to hold "Khuli Katchery" at their respective headquarters regularly. They have further been directed to hold these Katcheries in such places where large number of people can easily participate in it and present their problems and grievances in an effective manner.
In line of the directives of the IGP, the District Police Officers (DPOs) during the previous year had arranged 287 Khuli Katcheries. Majority of the problems presented in the Katcheries were solved on the spot while the rest of grievances have been sent to the concerned police officers for the report at their end at the earliest.
Thousands of people belonging to different walks of life participated in these open courts and everyone was given equal opportunity to present their problems.
The district wise break up of open Ketcheries are Peshawar 7, Mardan 25, Nowshera 10, Swabi 10, Charsadda 5, Swat 10, Buner 10, Shangla 17, Dir Lower 11, Dir Upper 10, Chitral 8, Kohat 18, Hangu 12, Karak 3, Bannu 13, Lakki Marwat 2, DIKhan 19, Tank 14, Abbottabad 17, Haripur 8, Mansehra 9, Battagram 21, Lower Kohistan 17, Upper Kohistan 17, Kulai Pallas Kohistan 3 and Tor Ghar 8.
The general public is participating in these Katcheries in large number and presenting their problems in free atmosphere without any fear.
The IGP has also directed the police officers to fully publicize before holding these Katcheries so that the people can be enable to participate in it in large number and present their grievances effectively. It has also been directed that the complainant who has registered their complaint in different complaint cells in the province would be especially invited in the Khuli Katcheries for redressal of their respective grievances.
They have also been directed to ensure foolproof security at every cast to the participants of the Katcheries.
Likewise they have also been directed to make video recording of each and every Katchery. The minutes of these khuli katchery are being prepared in black and white for the record.
All these Khuli Katcheries are being monitored from the Central Police Office (CPO).
