KP Police Prepare To Observe Aug 4 As Yum-e-Shuhada Police

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th july, 2016) : Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police has prepared a comprehensive plan to observe August 4 as Yum-e-Shuhada (day of martyrs) Police to pay tributes to those police officers and jawans who sacrificed their lives for protection of motherland. As per the plan, the day will dawn with special prayers for eternal peace of the martyrs.
Quran Khwani would be held in all major mosques of the province especially at Regional Police and District Police Headquarters for martyrs' souls. District Police Officers with police contingents will visit the graves of Shuhada on the morning of August 4 and salute will be paid to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for their countrymen, officials in police department told APP on Friday. Police contingents will visit the houses of Police Shuhada and meet with their families and present gifts and flowers to them. Blood donor camps will also be arranged in all district headquarters hospitals at Regional level in which contingents of at least 100 officers and jawans will donate blood. For this camp, a suitable and prime location in the hospitals will be selected and coverage on print and electronic media will also be ensured.
Declamation competition will be held in all Police Training Schools and PTC Hangu where speakers will highlight sacrifices of Police martyrs. Position holders will be invited to Central Police Office to select overall 1st position holder who will be awarded with prize and cash reward on the main ceremony of the day at Peshawar. Main function of this day will be held in Nishtar Hall Peshawar in which representatives from all walks of life including celebrities, heroes from hall of fame and elected persons will be invited. National and local newspapers will be requested to carry special supplements on this day.
To enhance the scope of this event, business concerns and organizations, NGOs, Civil Society, print and electronic media will also be associated. In this function, a rich tribute will also be paid to Shuhada and brave Ghazis of KP police. In order to commemorate the occasion and to invite the attention of the public, posters, banners, pamphlets the portraits of Shuhada and Ghazi's etc.
will be displayed at all major and prominent places besides getting messages for the day from dignitaries and celebrities.
