
KP To Remain Cloudy; Weather Turns Pleasant In Peshawar After Downpour

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th August, 2016) : The downpour and gusty winds in noon on Wednesday turned the weather pleasant in provincial metropolis while brining the mercury level down to 36C at noon and surrounding areas where people were praying for respite from hot and humid weather. Various roads, Bazars and markets were inundated due to three hours continues rain that lashed the city at around 12 pm resulting in traffic mess. The Met Office recorded 6mm rain in Peshawar, 1mm each in Kalam, Chitral and Pattan, while predicting rain-thunderstorm with gusty winds at isolated places in Abbottabad, Battagram, Upper Dir, Chitral, Swat, Shangla and Bunner during the next 24 hours.
It forecast rain at scattered places in Mansehra, Kohistan, Torghar, Lower Dir, Peshawar, Charsadda, Nowshera, Kohat, Hangu, Karak, Bnnu, Lakki Marvat, DIKhan, Tank, Districts and Khyber, Bajur, Mohmand, Orakzai, Kurram, North and South Waziristan agencies in FATA for next 24 to 48 hours. The weather remained party cloudy in most parts of the region during the last 24 hours.
However rain-thunderstorm occurred at isolated places in Malakand, Peshawar and Hazara Divisions. The maximum temperature recording during the last 24 hours was: Peshawar 36 C, Parachinar 32, Bannu 37, DI Khan 38, Chitral 31, Kohat 37, Dir 30 and Malamjaba 23 C.
