PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 8th Nov, 2018 ) :The provincial minister for information, Shaukat Yousafzai has said that our province was bestowed with God gifted natural resources which could be properly tapped and exploited by taking advantage of its historical importance being at the conjecture of the central Asian states.
He said this while addressing the inaugural session of the first international multidisciplinary conference that begin here at a private sector university. The conference is being attended by delegations from Turkey and Malaysia.
The information minister said that exemplary peace has been restored in the province during last six years and holding of the international conference was a testimony to this fact. The foreign delegates attending the conference would pass on the peace message to the world and convinced them to invest in this part of the country.
Shaukat said the foreign countries are generating sizeable revenues from their tourism sector and we could also generate these resources by exploiting our tourism potential. Over 2.2 million tourists visited Swat last year he said adding the KP government was opening two new tourists sites every year.
Referring to electricity and water resources of the province, the information minister said that we have no shortage of electricity but we faced the problem in smooth supply electricity to consumer due to obsolete transmission lines and distribution system.

Concluding the information minister was given an honorary shield of the varsity as the memento of his visit.
