Laborer Dies Under Avalanche

SARGODHA, Jan 4 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 04th Jan, 2017 ) : A labourer was killed while cutting stones under a hill in Sillanwali police limits on Wednesday. According to the police sources, a laborer Parvez Iqbal S/O Abdul Rehman (30) resident of Azad Kashmir was cutting stone under a hill at Chak 126 SB Block No 10 without wearing precautionary equipments when an avalanche fell down on him.

As a result he died under the debris. The Labor workers union said that over 70 mountain workers had been killed so far in such incidents and staged protest against the owners of the lease holders for not providing proper precautionary equipments. Police have handed over the body to the family after necessary legal formalities.
