Labour Day Observed Across Balochistan

The World Labour Day was observed across Balochistan Tuesday to pay rich tributes to the Chicago workers, who had sacrificed their lives for their rights.

QUETTA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st May, 2018 ) :The World Labour Day was observed across Balochistan Tuesday to pay rich tributes to the Chicago workers, who had sacrificed their lives for their rights.

According to reports, thousands of labourers and workers brought out rallies under the auspices of Pakistan Workers Federation, WAPDA Hydro Union, Railway Union and other organizations in different cities of the province.

Addressing a rally of the labourers' in the provincial capital, WAPDA Hydro Union leader Muhammad Ramazan Achakzai said ll labourers were not receiving their due rights even today.

"In many institutions, they do not receive due wages," he said, urging the government to take measures for resolving the problems being faced by the workers.

"Workers are the backbone of industry, who work round the clock for the economic uplift of a country," he added. Rallies were also taken out in Dera Murad JamaliKalat, Khuzdar, Lasbella, Kharan, Dalbandin, Nushki, Turbat, Gwadar, Pajgoor, Mastung, Nasirabad, Jaffarabad, Sibi, Loralai, Harnai, Killa Saiffullah and other areas of province.
