Lahore Celebrates 78th I’ Day With Fervor,begins With 21 Gun Salute

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Aug, 2024) The 78th Independence Day was being celebrated across the provincial capital on Wednesday with great enthusiasm and fervor, mirroring the spirit seen throughout the country.The day began on a solemn and patriotic note, marked by a 21-gun salute at the Lahore Garrison, symbolizing the nation’s pride and unity.

Following the early morning Fajr prayers, special prayers were offered in mosques across the city, where the faithful prayed for the progress,prosperity,longevity and security of Pakistan.

The city has donned a festive look, with streets, government and private buildings adorned with national flags and colorful green and white buntings.

Residents of Lahore,young and old alike,was participating in various activities, including flag hoisting ceremonies, cultural performances and parades, reflecting their deep love for the motherland.
