Commissioner Lahore Division and Lahore Ring Road Authority (LRRA) Chairperson Dr Mujtaba Piracha on Tuesday said that construction of Southern Loop Three (SL3) would be started in 2019 and completed in 2020.
He said that SL3 would link Adda Plot Raiwind Road Ring Road with Multan Road at Maraka, adding that 8 km SL3 would complete the Lahore Ring Road.
He expressed these views while chairing a meeting of all Directors of LRRA held here to review all matters regarding procedures of inviting contractors' firms and other details.
The commissioner said that construction of SL3 would be done by BOT (build, operate and transfer) on Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode, adding that Punjab Safe City Authority's cameras would also be installed at Ring Road.
He said that complete Ring Road would decrease traffic pressure in the city and pave way for better traffic management.
